Bubye Bubb

I was just logging on and going to check the websites to see if the Bubb rumor was true and it looks like an old dog beat me to the post.

Jim that is what you missed in class today, we talked about the potential firing of Bubb and how the information came from an unknown but so said reliable source. It looks like the University has taken the first step to dismissal. I'm sure they are going to use the time he is on "official leave" to try and convince him that it is in everyone's best interest to have him resign and move on. If it is a personal matter such as what we discussed in class then I"m sure we'll never know the true reason he was let go or asked to quit but will be left to forever speculate.

The other reason I wanted to blog tonight is that we failed to look at this topic completely from the journalistic side we stayed true to form of the topic of the day of public relations and looked at it from how ISU was going to deal with it.

What I am is asking is that everyone respond to this post and list what you would do next as a reporter if you had been the one to get the scoop and hear the Bubb was being fired. What would you do next as a sports reporter assigned to this story? I look forward to your replies.

I'm sorry I missed the class!

What would I do next. There is enough speculation out there, not knowing what you discussed, if I could get somebody to talk "on the record", would be the next step. You know the administration will be tight lip for fear of a law suit.
But it will be interesting, especially since noting really came out about the audit of the athletics dept ........

But I did learn my lesson don't miss class.......

I hope Dave reconsiders leaving ISU. We need his leadership now more than ever. Dave should seriously consider applying for this position.
