Athletic director Paul Bubb was placed on paid administrative leave on Thursday for an indefinite period of time, Idaho State administrators confirmed.
No reason was given for the action.
''It's a personnel action. We'll wait and see,'' said Idaho State President Arthur Vailas. ''I'm not allowed to disclose a reason at this time. It is not termination.''

Jeff Tingey ascended to the role of acting athletic director. Tingey is the assistant athletic director for marketing and corporate sales.
''He has all kinds of training,'' Vailas said of Tingey. ''For this emergency situation, he's the best person.''
