I wont lie, I am not that interested in Pro Football. I do have to admit though that I have, on occasion, watched a few games and each year around the end of January I find myself at some sort of party watching the Super Bowl. Each year I find myself not caring at who is playing or what kind of season they had but I seem to watch that final game of the season year after year. I think I pay more attention when it comes to the commercials and grab a snack during a play instead of at the break. Halftime is always interesting to me too, except in the past few years. The recent performers have been on the "safe side" but of no entertainment value to me. I understand the scrutiny that the networks are under from previous things that have happened, but I would still like to enjoy the show-or at least have any interest in it at all. Although I barely know anything about the two teams playing this year, why am I going to find myself at another Super Bowl party? Maybe it's for the good food that I find there...

Blakely, after reading I put myself in your shoes in no being a football fan. I completely understand your lack of interest in this year's Superbowl. And to let you in on something, if it wasn't for being an actual "football fan" there wouldn't be very many people at the event. Most people who attend the game are what I like to call "bandwagon fans." I define this as a fan who jumps on board to root for a team when their team (if they have one) goes out or has a lousy season. The other people you see at the game only go for the entertainment. There are many who could have a valid point in declaring the Superbowl a fluke in that regard. You're points reminded me of such things.

Blakely you are too funny!

I may not follow football the way that some of the males (who am I kidding? ALL of the males) in class, but I usually follow my team. I definitely thrill at watching a good game.

That said - the last few super bowls have been uninteresting to me...it's not that I have to see my team in it to be interesting (although that was grand). I just get tired of seeing the same old boring teams...I know that it should be the best team in the bowl - but it would be superb to shake it up a bit.

During the playoff's I found myself rooting for teams that I didn't care about beacause I wanted to see someone new make it! (Yes, Jason, I actually cheered for SD for you!) :)

The "Super Bowl" is usually a dud. If the sun is shining I'm outside, rather be snow shoeing or skiing, instead in front of the television. I have my favorite team/teams that I follow but still think there is something more to life than the tube and a team. SO GO BRONCOS...............MAY BE NEXT YEAR.......

I have to agree, I'm not much of a football fan. I played in high school but besides that I don't find it that cool. I could really care less who wins the Super Bowl, the only reason I watch it is because me and my friends take back some drinks and have a good time during the game.
