Blakely's post got me thinking about the fan support for the Bengals. I have noticed that a lot of people on campus are busy, or at least good at pretending to be so. I know that juggling work and school is tough, but it is nice to have a chance to stop and enjoy college life as well. It seems that at ISU, we have less students that are wanting to do this. I know that it is most likely because there are a lot of non-traditional students, but it makes me wonder what we can do to change this. I myself am a married, working, commuting student at ISU. I know that there are many more students like me and a lot with even more on their plate. There aren't any big leagues in Idaho and the cost of going to Bengal games is low, it seems like it would be a nice adventure for any student and their family.
In response to prof. S's reply on Blakely's post, I would say that it is our job as reporters to boost fan support through written words of motivation. I think that it is best to remain impartial. We are Bengals though and I think that it is ok for us to root for our team as long as we remain focused on the important details, as with any article.
